Faculty Fund for Advanced Studies

The Faculty Fund for Advanced Studies (FFAS) is a program that provides contract faculty members with financial support to pursue advanced study through coursework, conferences, and other professional development opportunities. The FFAS program was started several decades ago by contract faculty members who wished to support their colleagues through voluntary donations. The FFAS Committee works with the SRJC Foundation to steward the FFAS fund and annually distributes money to faculty members, awarding grants based on a rubric-driven application process. The Committee also organizes and hosts the annual SoupFest Awards Event, where FFAS recipients are recognized.
